Geography 12: September 23, 2024

Today in Geography 12 we reviewed Friday 5's and then did a full recap of Glaciation.  There will be a test on Glaciation on Friday this week.  On Thursday we are heading to Rogers Pass to go look at glaciation features, the Illcillewaet River and how mountains are formed.

Here are the videos from today that we watched as part of our review.  We also read about weathering in the text book.

Social Studies 10: Sept. 23

Today we looked at our roles for the simulation and started preparations for this piece.  We will be embarking on the simulation on Wednesday this week in our double block.

We also started thinking and talking about Canadian identity and considered the following essential questions:

  • What does it mean to be Canadian?
  • What is Canadian Identity?
  • Has Canadian identity changed over the years.
  • What shapes identity?

Look at pictures on page 21 of Creating Canada and decide if these photos represent Canadian identity.

Finally we spent some time going through some important bits of the text book and how best to use your text book.
