Socials 10: November 4, 5, 6

 Monday November 4th

We started class reviewing the Friday 5, this was a jumping off point for some further review on WWI and the outcomes of WWI.  We re-read p. 88 and finished these questions:

  • Who were the big 3 and what did they each want at the end of the war?
  • What was Canada’s role at the Paris Peace conferences?
  • Were the terms of the treaty of Versailles just and fair?
  • How might the treaty led to further unrest?
Once questions were complete students worked on their Issues part 1.  (due Tuesday Nov. 5).  Students who were done started the the 1920's scrap book.

Tuesday November 5th

Today we started the class by handing in our Issues projects part 1 and a homework check on the questions from last class.  From here we reviewed the above questions.  After this we completed a notes frame on the issues post WWI in Canada.  Upon completion we worked on the 1920's scrapbook.

Wednesday November 6th

In the first half of today's class we discussed the expectations of part 2 of our issues project.  Link to the outline of part 2 here.  Those that had finished part 1 successfully started the research and creation of their annotated bibliographies.

In the second half we reviewed the assignment that goes with the movie "The Untouchables" and we started the movie (we watched to 58minutes).  Here is the link to the movie off of stream in your microsoft word suite from the insignia section of the library.
